It would be difficult to find a more romantic property than Ashby Manor House to get married. Its beautiful honey coloured hornton stone façade with endless formal and informal gardens laid out by master architect Edwin Lutyens in the early 20th century are a photographer’s dream.

There are different ways to get married at Ashby Manor House. Some get married in our incredible 1000 year old Norman church, ‘St Leodegarius’ which has a secret gate straight into the statue garden for a drinks reception after the ceremony. For smaller weddings of up to 60 people we can host ceremonies inside the house in the Lutyens Hall with its majestic vaulted ceiling. Others choose to get married on the raised terrace overlooking the Lutyens canal and formal parterre garden next to the elegant fountain.

The abundance of choice also extends to the celebrations: smaller weddings of up to 60 people can eat in the white panelled Music room and party in the Stone Hall with its soaring ceilings. Otherwise guests can sip champagne in the statue garden or larger groups can dine in a marquee overlooking the ponds and beautiful bridge designed by Edwin Lutyens in the 1920’s. Leading up to the wedding guests can host gatherings in the walled garden next to the pool.

We allow couples to make their own decisions here to create their very own and unique experience. This includes choosing your own marquee supplier, caterer, florist and wedding planner. Of course we have our little black book of amazing suppliers who have worked with us for the past 10 years and we are more than happy to share this with you.
Ashby Manor House can be exclusively yours for 2-4 days over a weekend. Check in time is 3pm and check out is 11am. Please get in touch for further details.

Ashby Manor House was the perfect setting for our wedding day. We were fortunate enough to stay in the House for a couple of days before the wedding and our families loved exploring the beautiful gardens and surrounding area. We had the most perfect wedding day, where we got married in the B V M & St Leodegarius church adjacent to the house. We enjoyed a reception during some late summer sun in front of the Manor House and then a fun party in a beautifully decorated marquee on the lawn. None of this would have been possible without the help from Nova and her wonderfully kind housekeeper Maureen. Thank you to you both for a very special few days.

We held our wedding at Ashby St Ledgers on 30th November, and it was truly the most magical day of our lives. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless. The service and house was warm, attentive, and genuinely amazing.
The venue itself is breathtaking. The historic charm, beautifully kept grounds, and elegant interiors created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Our guests were blown away by how stunning everything looked, and we felt completely at ease knowing we were in such capable hands. Many guests agreed it was the best wedding they had ever been to.
The flow of the day was seamless - from the ceremony to the reception, every moment felt special. The staff Nova recommended coordinated everything so smoothly that we could simply relax and enjoy our day without a single worry.
Ashby St Ledgers now means so much to us that it’s become a permanent fixture in our home - quite literally. A large photograph of the house proudly hangs in our kitchen, a daily reminder of the best day of our lives.
We can’t thank Nova and team enough for giving us a wedding that exceeded all expectations. It’s a place full of beauty, warmth and soul, and we will cherish our memories there forever.
For anyone considering, we truly recommend the venue, and really insist that you consider for the whole weekend to turn your special day into the best weekend of your lives.
Thank you.

Ashby Manor House is one of those exceptionally rare venues that feels truly magical from the moment you arrive. As a wedding planner, I have the privilege of working in many beautiful locations, but very few offer the sense of intimacy, exclusivity and quiet grandeur that Ashby Manor provides.
Hosting only a small number of weddings each year, the house retains the soul of a much loved private family home, and that is felt in every detail. There is an authenticity and warmth here that simply cannot be replicated in commercial venues. Couples are not just hiring a location, they are being welcomed into a home of extraordinary character, history and elegance.
The grounds and interiors are breathtaking yet understated, allowing each wedding to feel entirely bespoke and deeply personal. With complete privacy, no interruptions, and a sense of calm luxury throughout the estate, couples are free to truly immerse themselves in their celebration and create something unforgettable.
The team at Ashby Manor House are a dream to work with, flexible, discreet and effortlessly refined. It is a venue for couples seeking something genuinely special, a once in a lifetime setting that feels timeless, exclusive and utterly enchanting.
